December 30th 2007
Okay, so things are finally calming down a little. We spent the weekend in North Conway, NH from the 20th until the 23rd. We got out skiing twice, once on the 21st at Mt. Cranmore right in North Conway, and on the 22nd at Attitash. We were able to ski at Cranmore for a total of $3.30, as it was their 70th Anniversary, and we already had 2 free passes that we got at the Boston Globe Ski Expo.
It was Alex's first day of the season, but after an hour, you would never have known that. She got her "Ski-legs" back very quickly:
After a full day at Cranmore, we spent Saturday on the Bear Peak side of Attitash. It was a little overcast, and the light was pretty flat, but it was completely uncrowded. We NEVER had to wait in line for a lift. That, plus the almost foot of fresh powder that fell over the past few days made for a GREAT ski experience.
Alex and Mommy share a lift ride
POW!!!!!!!!
Hot Cocoa at the Bear Peak Lodge
And there's a video as well:

yikes!
Ouch, it's been over a month, and nothing added.. Sooo, lessee, what's been going on?
Mostly been busy shopping and getting ready for the pending Holiday Season. Daniela and I got out skiing on the 15th at Sundown in New Hartford. That went quite well, no issues at all with my bionic knee, so that's good. It was great to get a few warm-up runs in as we are heading to North Conway, NH on the 20th for 3 days of skiing then off to Jiminy Peak in the Berkshires on the 28th for 2 more days. Didn't take any pics at Sundown as we were focusing on form and it was enough for me to do some rehab without having to worry about a camera as well. we'll take photos and video later this week.

Mom's Turn
Ok. So it's now my turn. I suppose I just joined the 21st century. I'm blogging!
Here's Alex in her 2007 class picture taken on Sept. 21.
Below is her Soccer picture taken just a day later.
Below is a link to one of my favorite videos of Alex (one of many). Keep in mind this was taken in 2005, Alex's first skiing season. Most of it was taken at Wildcat with some footage at the Cog Railway on Mount Washington. Enjoy!

2007 World Series Champs!!!!!
They did it!
It's like the early 1900's all over again, the boston Red Sox are the dominant team of the 21st Century. Now, if they can just keep the Yankees at bay for another 19 titles, we'll be all set. It's strange watching Alex growing-up a fan of a team this successful, unlike her dad who had to suffer through Bucky effin' Dent, Billy Buck's knees, McNamara's incompetence, Rahwjah and Boggs defecting to the Evil Empire to collect their championships, Grady and Pedro....and Aaron effin' Boone.
I'm not sure how to handle the success either, it just feels weird. Oh well, at least we have the Iggles to keep us humble...
Went to the Fine Home Furnishings show in Providence this weekend. Saw some really nice pieces, and some horribly overrated crap as well. Provo has really turned into a fun city. The convention center is what the one in Hartford would be like, if they ever brought in anything worthwhile, and it has a nice skywalk connector to the Providence Place mall, which, despite the fact that it IS a mall, is a really cool place to hang-out. The Riverfire thing is neat, and Federal Hill is a great area for casual dining and drinks.
Hartford, what the hell is wrong with you?? Bleech!!!!!

GO SAWX!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a game! Nice to see Drew, Pedroia, Youk and others step-up with Papi, manny and Lowell all but disappearing. Hell of a comeback, and now I'm totally wiped-out today after staying up until Monday morning to witness it. Man, I can't stand FOX, start the games earlier (especially since BOTH teams are EST zone teams) and get rid of Buck/McCarver, and bring in Remy and Orsillo to call the game...
Okay, rant over, I'm a little tired, and somewhat grumpy after the Eagles blew-it again...

Okay, it looks really lame with just a single post, so I'm adding another.
We're in the middle of re-decoing out Living Room, next will be the Kitchen. The Living Room is nearing completion, and we'll add pics maybe someday. Alex has 3 Soccer games left for the season. Her team, The Cheetahs, are doing really well, and Alex is starting to show a real aptitude for a strong "D"
